The International Conference on Integrated Coastal Zone Management (ICZM) and Marine Spatial Planning (MSP), organized by the PORTODIMARE project funded within the EU Interreg ADRION Transnational Cooperation Program, was held 14-15 November in the Hotel “Avala Resort & Villas” in Budva, MONTENEGRO. Bearing in mind that Geoportal and its tools represent a concrete contribution of PORTODIMARE project to EUSAIR and transnational cooperation in the Adriatic-Ionian region, the International Conference was organized back to back with the meetings of EUSAIR Thematic Steering Groups TSG1 – Blue growth and TSG3 – Environmental quality, which took place 13-14 November 2018 in Budva with the aim to achieve the synergy among the processes for the implementation of ICZM-MSP in the Adriatic-Ionian Region.

The PORTODIMARE International Conference was organized through three panel sessions with invited experts on integrated coastal and marine spatial planning, as well as representatives of the EUSAIR TSG1 and TSG3 and PORTODIMARE project partners. A special panel and poster sessions was devoted to the presentation of Geoportal for data, information and tools focused on the coastal and marine area of the Adriatic-Ionian region as the main result of the PORTODIMARE project, while the third session was give an overview of good practice examples and demonstration projects for the implementation will be tested solutions for the implementation of Geoportal.
